Terms of Use for the App "offtime"

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the app offtime, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.

2. App Description

offtime is a productivity and digital wellbeing app that allows users to block apps and categories for a specific time to reduce distraction. All data is stored locally on the device. No server communication takes place.

3. Integration of the Apple EULA

The use of the offtime app is subject to the Apple End User License Agreement (EULA) in addition to these Terms of Use. In case of any conflicts between these Terms of Use and the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA shall prevail. These Terms of Use supplement the Apple EULA and regulate additional, specific aspects of app usage.

4. No Guarantee or Liability

The use of offtime is entirely at your own risk. You understand and agree that:

• The app deliberately restricts access to selected apps or app categories based on your configuration.
• You are solely responsible for the apps you choose to block and the timing of such restrictions.
• We shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of this app, including but not limited to:
  • missed messages, emails, or phone calls;
  • lost opportunities or business losses;
  • financial, personal, or professional consequences due to temporarily inaccessible apps;
  • psychological discomfort or stress caused by app restrictions.

Please note: You can disable all restrictions at any time by:

• changing your selection within the app, or
• deleting the app, which immediately removes all blocks.

The app does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, nor that blocking functions will always work as expected on all devices or OS versions. The user remains fully responsible for any outcomes resulting from the app’s use.

5. Not Medical or Psychological Advice

offtime is not a medical or therapeutic application. It is not a substitute for professional help regarding mental health, addiction, or psychological disorders.

6. In-App Purchases & Pro Features

The app may offer in-app purchases to unlock advanced features (e.g., scheduled blocks, multiple presets). Purchases are managed by Apple. No refunds are issued outside of the App Store’s refund policies.

7. Changes to the Service

The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of or the entire app offtime at any time without notice. You acknowledge that access to the app or features may be permanently removed.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, code, and branding in offtime are the property of Louie Gaiser. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to offtime if you violate these terms or misuse the app in any unlawful way. You may stop using the app at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to change or update these Terms of Use at any time, without prior notice. Such changes become effective as soon as they are published within the app or on our website. By continuing to use the app after such changes, you agree to the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Jurisdiction is Sigmaringen, Germany.
